Erdogan: Iran Has the Right to Defend Itself Against ‘Israeli’ Banditry and Terrorism

ANKARA — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday declared strong support for Iran’s right to self-defense in the face of Zionist attacks, describing zionist actions as “banditry and state terrorism.” His remarks, delivered during a parliamentary group meeting of the ruling AK Party in Ankara, came amid escalating Zionist strikes across the region.
“It is entirely natural, legitimate, and lawful for Iran to defend itself against Israel’s banditry and state terrorism,” Erdogan stated, directly addressing the deepening conflict. He sharply condemned Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, comparing his actions to those of Adolf Hitler and accusing him of surpassing Hitler “in the crime of genocide.”
Erdogan further warned that the blood of Palestinian civilians, including murdered children, stains not only those who support the Zionist entity, but also those who “remain silent.” He criticized the international community, including the UN, for failing to act: “The UN, international organizations, and world governments remain silent, while some even support this banditry.”
Reassuring Turkish citizens, Erdogan said all state institutions are on alert over the potential regional fallout: “Our nation can rest assured. The government is fully committed to safeguarding Turkey’s interests, peace, unity, and security.” He reiterated Turkey’s readiness for any scenario and vowed to intensify diplomatic efforts to stop Zionist aggression and prevent broader catastrophe in the Middle East.
