Djokovic, Sinner, and Zverev Advance to French Open Third Round

Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic continued his strong run at the French Open, progressing to the third round with a straight-sets victory over France’s Corentin Moutet on Thursday.

The sixth-ranked player in the world, Djokovic, 38, defeated Moutet—ranked 73 globally—6-3, 6-2, 7-6 on the clay courts of Roland Garros. The win marks another step in Djokovic’s pursuit of a fourth French Open title, having previously won in 2016, 2021, and 2023.

The former world No. 1 recently claimed his 100th career title after winning the Geneva Open, a 250-point ATP tournament, which also marked his first trophy of the 2025 season. That milestone came shortly after his gold medal victory in men’s singles tennis at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Djokovic is now the third player in tennis history to reach 100 titles, joining American Jimmy Connors and Swiss great Roger Federer.
