Czechia and Bulgaria have joined the semifinal lineup in the 2025 Men’s Volleyball World Championship — an all-European final four — after defeating Iran and the United States respectively in Pasay City on Thursday.
Czechia, advancing to the semis for the first time, overcame Iran 3–1 (22–25, 27–25, 25–20, 25–21) while Bulgaria staged a comeback from two sets down to beat the U.S. 3–2 (21–25, 19–25, 25–17, 25–22, 15–12).
Under the format, Czechia and Bulgaria will face each other Saturday, while Poland and Italy, already qualified, meet in the other semifinal. Final and 3rd-place matches are scheduled for Sunday.
