Acting as the special envoy of the President of the Republic, Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs responsible for the National Community Abroad, arrived in N’Djamena. There, he presented a letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, the President of the Republic of Chad, according to a communiqué from the ministry released on Friday.
During their meeting, the Secretary of State conveyed greetings of the President of the Republic to his Chadian counterpart and expressed a commitment to collaboratively strengthen the cooperative relations between their two countries, as stated in the communiqué.
In response, the Chadian President reiterated his determination to continue efforts aimed at consolidating the bonds of brotherhood, cooperation, and solidarity between their nations, the statement added.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations and to coordinate on regional and international issues, as noted in the announcement.
