Belmehdi Attends Pope’s Inauguration Mass as Commissioned by Algerian President

Algerian Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, participated on Sunday in the inauguration Mass of Pope Leo XIV, as commissioned by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs said in a statement.

Minister Youcef Belmehdi participated in the inauguration Mass of Pope Leo XIV, accompanied by Algeria’s Ambassador to the Vatican, Rachid Beladhane, Algeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, Mohamed Khelifi, and the Archbishop of Algiers, Jean-Paul Vesco, the statement said.
