
Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Deputy Minister to the Minister of Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, chaired on Saturday the official installation ceremony of the Central Director of the Army Security, General Abbas Ibrahim, on behalf of the Algerian President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
“On behalf of the President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of the National Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and in accordance with the Presidential Decree of 8 December 2025, I hereby officially install General Abbas Ibrahim as the Central Director of the Army Security, replacing General Djeribi Mahrez. I further order you to serve under his command, follow his orders, and carry out his directives in the service’s best interest, in accordance with current military regulations and the Republic’s laws, while remaining faithful to the sacrifices of our brave Martyrs and the values of our glorious Revolution.”
The occasion provided Army General Chanegriha an opportunity to deliver guidance and directives to the leadership of this sensitive directorate, stressing the need for greater dedication in serving the nation and demonstrating steadfast commitment to accomplishing assigned missions with the necessary rigor and perseverance, the Algerian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Following this, the Army General supervised the signing and approval ceremony of the official handover documentation.
