Amnesty International has called on FIFA and UEFA to suspend the Zionist Football Association (IFA) from international tournaments unless it immediately excludes clubs based in illegal colonies in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). In a letter sent Wednesday, the organization stressed that continuing to allow such participation violates both international law and FIFA’s own statutes.
Amnesty’s Secretary General Agnès Callamard condemned the Zionist entity’s ongoing actions, as genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. She highlighted that more than 800 athletes, players, and sports officials are among the over 65,000 Palestinians killed by Zionist forces, amid mass displacement and famine caused by deliberate policies of destruction.
