Algeria’s Zerrouki Meets Telecom and Tech Actors in Doha

The Algerian Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, took part in Doha (Qatar) at the works of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025), where he held several meetings with leading actors in the telecommunications and modern technologies sector, the ministry said on Thursday.

Zerrouki met with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed Bin Ali Al-Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. The meeting was described as an opportunity for both parties to “review ways and means to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of developing technology parks,” aiming to guarantee “the creation of new job opportunities in this sector.”

The minister was also warmly welcomed at the pavilion of the Ooredoo Group, where future partnership prospects and the company’s role in supporting innovation and digital transformation projects in Algeria were reviewed.

In the same context, “Zerrouki participated in a high-level ministerial meeting on technological infrastructures,” which gathered several ministers in the sector from different countries around the world.

The Minister of Post and Telecommunications was also “received at several pavilions of global technology companies participating in the MWC.”
