Algeria’s Presidential Election : The candidates are starting the election campaign with meetings and local activities.

The election campaign for the 7 September presidential election began today with the organization of public meetings and local gatherings led by the three candidates or the political parties supporting them.
The candidate from the MSP (Movement of Society for Peace), who has chosen “Opportunity” as the slogan for his electoral program, began the campaign at his party’s headquarters, where he is leading a series of local activities in the capital. In the afternoon, he will travel to Blida for a meeting at the home of the party’s founder, the late Sheikh Mahfoud Nahnah.
The FFS (Socialist Forces Front) candidate chose Algiers to launch his electoral campaign by engaging in local activities in the administrative district of Bab El Oued. This provided him with an opportunity to outline the main points of his electoral program, which bears the slogan “Vision for Tomorrow.”
For their part, several parties supporting the independent candidate, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, whose electoral program carries the slogan “For a Victorious Algeria,” have mobilized on the ground. On the first day of the campaign, they organized meetings and local gatherings with citizens across various provinces of the country including Mostaganem, Ain Témouchent, Tindouf, Tamanrasset and Algiers.
