Algeria’s International Chocolate and Coffee Fair: Four Competitions Featured in the 6th Edition

ORAN – The 6th edition of the International Chocolate and Coffee Fair (Chocaf) will feature four competitions, bringing together artisan chocolatiers, pastry chefs, and cake artists, according to event organizers.
“Four competitions will take place over the four days of the fair,” said Mohamed Graia, the director of the event, adding that the general public will have the opportunity to watch these contests, which will be hosted by Chef Karim Seghelani.
Chef Seghelani specified that the competitions will include chocolate bonbons, wedding cakes, chocolate entremets, and artistic chocolate showpieces, with six candidates participating in each category.
The jury will consist of both Algerian and international members, including representatives from the Tunisian association “Les Disciples de l’Escoffier.” According to organizers, these competitions serve as a prelude to future culinary events, such as the Arab Culinary Arts Cup, scheduled for the coming months.
