Algeria’s Arkab, Iran’s Paknejad Discuss Energy Cooperation in Doha
Ahead of his participation in the 27th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Doha, Qatari capital, Algeria’s Minister of State and Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, held talks on Wednesday in Doha with Iran’s Minister of Oil, Mohsen Paknejad.
The two ministers reviewed the state of bilateral cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Iran, as well as prospects for developing ties, particularly in the oil and gas industry. They also welcomed the level of dialogue and consultation within OPEC+ and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, aimed at contributing to the stability of global oil and gas markets.
During the meeting, both sides discussed several organizational and administrative issues related to the management and enhancement of the Forum’s performance.
