Algerian President, South African Counterpart Co-Chair MoU Signing Ceremony

On Friday, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune co-chaired a ceremony at the Presidential Palace alongside South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, during which several memorandums of understanding were signed across various sectors between the two nations.

During this occasion, both presidents signed a Joint Declaration of Strategic Partnership between Algeria and South Africa. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was established in the field of agricultural research, along with an agreement between the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL) and the South African National Space Agency (SANSA).

Furthermore, memorandums of understanding concerning entrepreneurship and innovation, economic cooperation, and legal and judicial assistance were signed between the two countries. The minutes from the seventh session of the Algeria-South Africa Bilateral Cooperation High Commission were also officially documented at this event.

Earlier, the two presidents co-chaired meetings of the Algeria-South Africa Bilateral Cooperation High Commission. Prior to these discussions, President Tebboune held a private meeting with President Ramaphosa, extending an official welcome that reflected the significance of their relationship and the strong ties between the two nations.

President Ramaphosa arrived in Algiers on Thursday evening for a state visit at the invitation of his counterpart, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
