Algerian FM Meets with Several African Heads of State in Beijing

On Wednesday evening in Beijing, Ahmed Attaf, the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, engaged in discussions with several African heads of state during a dinner hosted by the President of the People’s Republic of China. This gathering honored the delegations attending the Fourth China-Africa Summit, as noted in a statement from the ministry.

The statement revealed that “on the sidelines of this dinner, Ahmed Attaf exchanged views with various heads of brotherly African states, conveying warm greetings from the President of the Republic and his sincere wishes for the success of this significant event.”

In this context, Attaf held a special meeting with Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. During their conversation, they took the opportunity to review their fraternal relations and cooperation, emphasizing the dynamic nature of these ties in accordance with the high-level directives from the leaders of both countries. They reaffirmed their ongoing commitment to developing and elevating Algerian-Mauritanian relations to the highest possible levels, as detailed in the ministry’s statement.
