Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held a phone call this evening with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, the ministry said in a press release.
The call comes within the framework of the regular consultations between the two ministers on international and regional issues of mutual interest, in light of the strong strategic partnership between the two countries.
In this regard, the ministers exchanged views on key issues on the agenda of the Security Council during Russia’s presidency of this central UN body, particularly the decolonization of Western Sahara, on which a decision is expected to be issued before the end of the month.
