
The Algerian National People’s Assembly (APN) and the Tunisian Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) emphasized on Friday in a joint statement, the need to quickly ensure international protection for the Palestinian people, “deliver humanitarian and medical aid and accelerate the prosecution procedures against the Zionist entity.”
On the occasion of the official visit made by the President of the APN, Mr. Brahim Boughali, to Tunisia, at the invitation of his counterpart, Mr. Ibrahim Bouderbala, the two Assemblies denounced “the double standard policy” with regard to tackling the Palestinian cause.
The two parties “strongly condemned the ongoing barbaric aggression and abject crimes carried out by the Zionist entity against the defenseless Palestinian people,” and urged international protection for the Palestinian people, in addition to delivering humanitarian aids and speeding up the prosecution against of the Zionist entity.
They also called for “an immediate and permanent end to the continued savage aggression against the defenseless Palestinian people, in accordance with the numerous resolutions adopted by the Security Council, to proceed with the reconstruction of Gaza for the return of refugees to their homes, and to redouble their efforts to prevent any escalation that threatens security and stability in the region,” underlines the joint statement.
In line with the Beijing Declaration, the Algerian and Tunisian parties highlighted the need “to unify the Palestinian ranks and end divisions, to attain the aspirations of the Palestinian people for unity, freedom and national sovereignty,” the statement added.
