Algeria: Release of Postage Stamp “With Gaza” in Support of Palestine

On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the Algerian Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has issued a unified Arabic postage stamp titled “With Gaza” to support the just Palestinian cause, according to a communiqué from the ministry on Thursday.
“In alignment with Algeria’s steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause and to express solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters, the concept of issuing this unified Arabic postage stamp was realized as a gesture of support and mutual aid for the children of Gaza who bravely endure brutal occupation with courage, resilience, and dignity,” the statement reads.
The design of the stamp dedicated to Gaza carries profound symbolism, articulating a strong rejection of aggression, a determination to defend land and honor, and a commitment to remain loyal to the resistance. This is particularly poignant given the devastating brutality of the occupation and the unprecedented atrocities recorded in human history, until the liberation and reclamation of the usurped homeland through the establishment of a Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
“These messages are vividly conveyed through the evocative image of hope shining in the eyes of a Gazan child, adorned in the authentic Palestinian keffiyeh—a symbol of identity and struggle. This wounded child, yearning for freedom, stands before a destroyed building, unjustly ravaged by an aggression that violates the most fundamental values of humanity,” the source adds.
The same source emphasized that “Gaza embodies the unique essence of the millennia-old Palestinian identity, rich in its diverse and deeply rooted historical and cultural heritage.”
