Algeria Launches Fund to Support Startups, Young Innovators in Africa at IATF 2025
On the sidelines of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), Algeria’s Minister of Knowledge Economy announced the launch of a new fund dedicated to financing startups and young innovators across Africa.
The initiative, created under the instruction of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, highlights Algeria’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship on the continent. The minister stressed that the fund will provide crucial financial support for youth-led projects with the potential to boost sustainable growth and enhance Africa’s competitiveness in the global economy.
The fund will be managed by the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation, ensuring that resources are channeled toward initiatives that strengthen technological progress, create jobs, and advance African economic integration. Its announcement at IATF 2025 underscores Algeria’s role as a strategic hub for African development and innovation.
