ALGIERS – Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, received on Tuesday Ambassador of the Italian Republic in Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
The meeting was an opportunity to “discuss ways aimed at promoting the position of national community established in Italy and its role in strengthening the historic friendship and close cooperation between the two countries,” the source said.
The two parties further “discussed issues of interest to our community established in that country and ways to address them effectively, by strengthening the relevant bilateral legal frameworks, in order to meet the needs and aspirations of its members in the country of residence,” the same source added.
