Algeria, Huawei Discuss Acceleration of Technology Deployment and Digital Ecosystem Development

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, received on Wednesday in Algiers, the president of “Huawei Northern Africa” (Northern Western and Central Africa), Shen Li, the ministry said in a press release.

The meeting was attended by the sector’s executives and heads of affiliated institutions, said the source. The discussions focused on “accelerating the deployment of technology in Algeria to support its ambition to build an integrated digital ecosystem and establish partnerships with technology companies”.

It is also about ensuring “the transfer of expertise and the development of national competencies, with a view to enabling Algeria to move from the position of consumer of technology to that of producer, particularly in light of the measures put in place by the government to support and promote investment,” adds the same source.
