ALGIERS – General Saïd Chanegriha, Deputy Minister to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, began on Wednesday, a working and inspection visit to the 3rd Military Region, the Ministry of National Defense said in a press release.
“As part of visits paid to various Military Regions, General Saïd Chanegriha, Deputy Minister to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, started today, Wednesday, 21 May 2025, a working and inspection visit to the 3rd Military Region,” said the same source.
After the welcome ceremony chaired by Major General Nacereddine Fodhil, Commander of the 3rd Military Region, the visit began at Tindouf South Operational Sector where General Chanegriha held “an orientation meeting with the region’s officials and staff, during which he delivered a speech, via videoconference, to all units of the region.”
In this respect, he emphasized “the particular importance he attaches to the execution of tactical exercises, which serve as a true measure of the staff’s combat readiness and their mastery of the acquired equipment and weapon systems.”
“The professionalism of the soldiers during wars has always been a decisive factor and an important criterion for measuring the readiness of forces and their ability to fully carry out assigned missions, just as individual performance, discipline, and the ability to adapt to the changing battlefield conditions, are essential qualities for leading the fighting force to victory,” he emphasized.
“It is within this context that the particular importance we attach to the execution of tactical exercises, at various levels and echelons, lies, as these exercises represent a real test, both for the training system, which serves as the crucible where skills are forged, and for combat preparation, which complements it by enhancing the staff’s experience and professionalism and increasing their ability to master the various equipment and weapon systems made available,” he added.
