ALGIERS – The Algerian Minister of Transport, Saïd Sayoud, received on Tuesday, in Algiers, the Secretary General of the Intergovernmental Organization for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF), Aleksandr Kuzmenko, with whom he examined means of strengthening cooperation in the field of railway transport, the ministry said in a press release.
The meeting which took place at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of its secretary general and a number of its officials, enabled to examine cooperation prospects in various fields, notably the extension of the railway network, the development of operating and maintenance systems, as well as the integration of modern and intelligent technologies as part of sustainable transport, added the same source
