Algeria, Bangladesh Willing to Bolster Bilateral Cooperation

The Ambassador of the Republic of Bangladesh, Najmul Huda Mohammed, applauded on Tuesday the “excellent” relations between Algeria and his country, emphasizing the shared desire to strengthen and diversify them, particularly in the economic field.

“I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to represent the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in this brotherly country, Algeria, with which we have excellent bilateral relations,” said Najmul Huda Mohammed after presenting his credentials to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, accrediting him as his country’s ambassador to Algeria.

He said he had discussed with the President of the Republic “the strength and fraternal nature” of the ties between the two countries, which now wish to “focus their efforts on strengthening and diversifying their economic relations.” He added that the President of the Republic “encourages investment in Algeria, and we have agreed to work together to bring the private sectors of both countries closer together so that they can contribute more significantly to mutual economic development.”

In this context, the Bangladesh’s ambassador said he was “determined” to contribute to boosting this cooperation during his term in Algeria, expressing his “deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the Algerian government, particularly the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, for their support and cooperation in ensuring the smooth running” of his mission.

He also said that he had conveyed to the President of the Republic “the fraternal greetings and warm wishes” of the President, Government, and people of Bangladesh.
