Ambassador Abu Aïta Credits Algeria’s UN Diplomacy with Halting Zionist Genocide Against Palestinians
Palestine’s Ambassador to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aïta, affirmed on Wednesday, that Algeria’s diplomacy at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) contributed to halting the Zionist genocide against the Palestinian people, praising Algeria’s role in defending the Palestinian cause at the UN.
In a communiqué released by the embassy, Ambassador Abu Aïta commended the remarks of the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, during the press conference he held on Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters, regarding “Algeria’s commitment to engage and coordinate with the State of Palestine through official Palestinian channels.” In this regard, he underscored “the importance of Algeria’s role, which was and remains at the forefront of defending the Palestinian cause at the UN Security Council,” noting that “Algeria’s diplomacy at the UN has positively influenced the positions of major powers in favor of ceasing the genocidal war in Gaza, including the United States.” The ambassador emphasized that “Algeria’s stance on the Palestinian cause is firm, balanced, unwavering and unchanging.
Algeria has consistently paid a heavy price and faced numerous challenges due to its enduring commitment and support for the Palestinian people,” pointing out that “the Palestinian people hold Algeria, its presidency, government, and citizens, in high regard for its historic and honorable positions.” He further stressed that the Palestinian authorities, led by President Mahmoud Abbas, “has never missed an opportunity to appreciate and praise Algeria’s stances and blessed efforts at the Security Council,” emphasizing that “Algeria enjoys the constant trust of the Palestinian people, and its compass is always and forever directed toward supporting the Arab nationalist path, standing firmly against all challenges and conspiracies targeting the Palestinian cause. Algeria has been and will remain a strong shield and an unshakable stronghold for the Palestinian people.”
