Algeria and Indonesia Reaffirm Commitment to Enhancing Joint Cooperation Across Various Fields

Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, received on Tuesday the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Anis Matta, as part of his working visit Algeria.

“The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the mutual interest in developing bilateral relations and the commitment to enhancing joint cooperation in various fields, in a way that serves mutual benefit and strengthens the historical ties of friendship and solidarity between the two brotherly countries,” the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, including the Palestinian cause, in addition to consultations on topics of mutual concern at the level of international and regional organizations, such as ASEAN — particularly following Algeria’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, the statement said.
