UN Sounds Alarm: Gaza Faces Starvation and Shelter Collapse Under Zionist Blockade

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has sounded the alarm over the rapidly worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing that Palestinians are being killed and injured on a daily basis, while famine and malnutrition continue to spread under the ongoing Zionist aggression and blockade.
According to OCHA, Gaza is facing a severe shelter crisis. Current needs for the displaced population—estimated at 1.4 million people—require no less than 3,500 trucks filled with tents, plastic sheeting, and basic household supplies. The UN agency warned that this figure does not account for future displacement, which could further exacerbate the crisis.
OCHA also denounced the mounting obstacles in delivering these supplies, citing restrictions that make humanitarian operations extremely difficult. The UN office urged the immediate facilitation of relief aid, calling in particular for the reopening and safeguarding of crossings to northern Gaza and Gaza City to ensure the delivery of essential shelter materials and other life-saving assistance.
