Trump After Phone Call with Putin: “Not Satisfied” with Ukraine Situation

U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is “not satisfied” with the current situation in Ukraine following a lengthy phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews near Washington, Trump stated, “We had a conversation. It was fairly long. We discussed a number of issues, including Iran and the conflict in Ukraine. I’m not satisfied [with the situation].”

When asked if there was any progress on resolving the Ukraine crisis, Trump responded, “No, I didn’t make any progress.”

Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov confirmed the phone call lasted nearly an hour. He said the two leaders discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, and even the exchange of films promoting traditional values shared by both Russia and the Trump administration.
