Algeria Leads Economic Delegation at 59th Sfax International Fair in Tunisia

Algeria is participating with a significant economic delegation at the 59th edition of the Sfax International Fair in Tunisia, which runs from June 17 to July 1, as announced in a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion on Wednesday.

More than 20 prominent national companies from various sectors, including agri-food, home appliances, cosmetics, textiles, clothing, and handicrafts, are showcasing a diverse array of local products that adhere to the highest standards of quality and innovation, according to the same source.

This participation, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, is in line with “the implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.” The aim is to “promote trade exchanges with other African countries, particularly our brother nation Tunisia, create new export opportunities beyond hydrocarbons, and establish strategic partnerships with various economic stakeholders, in alignment with national efforts to diversify the economy and promote Algerian products abroad.”

The program for Algeria’s involvement in the Sfax International Fair includes B2B meetings with Tunisian companies to explore opportunities for exchange and partnership, as well as facilitate integration into regional value chains.

Additionally, technical workshops are scheduled to discuss prospects for economic integration between Algeria and Tunisia, focusing on investment opportunities and joint manufacturing initiatives.
