Algerian Minister of State, FM, Attends Funeral of Pope Francis

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, participated on Saturday in the funeral ceremonies of Pope Francis, which took place at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The funeral service was attended by a large crowd of mourners, led by numerous leaders and representatives of countries, along with several officials from international governmental organizations, the source said.
According to the statement, Minister Attaf conveyed the heartfelt condolences of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Vatican representatives for the loss of Pope Francis. He also commended the Pope’s enduring human legacy, highlighting his commitment to promoting values of brotherhood, solidarity, and coexistence among peoples, as well as his dedication to defending the vulnerable and oppressed across the globe.
