Fifth Session of Algerian-Russian Political Consultations Held in Moscow

The Secretary General of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Lounès Magramane, co-chaired the fifth session of Algerian-Russian political consultations on Thursday in Moscow, alongside Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Representative of the President for Africa and the Middle East, Mikhail Bogdanov, as stated in a ministry communiqué.
This session is part of the ongoing implementation of the in-depth strategic partnership declaration signed in Moscow in June 2023 by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin. It provided an opportunity to discuss several regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the latest developments in the Sahel, the evolving situation in the Middle East, the Palestinian issue, and the question of Western Sahara, according to the source.
On this occasion, both parties agreed to continue close coordination to enhance bilateral relations between their two countries across various fields, in line with the ambitions and aspirations of both “friendly peoples,” the statement concluded.
