Today, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune extended his heartfelt congratulations to Joseph Aoun following his election as President of the Republic of Lebanon. In his message, he expressed a strong commitment to enhancing the historical ties between the two nations.
In the congratulatory note, the President stated: “Your Excellency, dear brother, it is with great pleasure that I extend, on behalf of the people and government of Algeria, as well as personally, my warmest congratulations along with sincere wishes for your success and prosperity in your esteemed duties.”
He further remarked: “It is indeed reassuring that your selection by the representatives of the Lebanese people comes at such a sensitive time, amid the challenging circumstances facing your beloved country and the region, particularly following a two-year leadership vacancy. This reflects the confidence placed in you to assume these noble responsibilities with wisdom and competence.”
Continuing his message to his Lebanese counterpart, he said: “We are optimistic about this step toward Lebanon’s recovery, aimed at alleviating the suffering of its resilient people and achieving the security, stability, development, and prosperity they rightly deserve.”
In closing, the President underscored: “On this occasion, I commend the historical relations between our countries, which are founded on cooperation and solidarity, and reaffirm our complete readiness to work together to strengthen them. As I once again offer you my heartfelt congratulations and brotherly wishes, I kindly ask you, Your Excellency, dear brother, to accept my expressions of appreciation and affection.”
