President Tebboune Extends Official Welcome to his South African Counterpart

On Friday at the Presidential Palace, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune cordially welcomed his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, with an official reception that reflected both the significance of Algeria’s guest and the strong bonds between the two nations.

The two Presidents stood together as their national anthems were played, while horsemen from the Republican Guard lined up in front of the Presidential Palace, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion with the national emblems of both Algeria and South Africa.

Following this ceremony, the Presidents reviewed troops from various branches of the Algerian National People’s Army (ANP), who paid their respects before posing for a commemorative photograph.

President Ramaphosa arrived in Algiers on Thursday evening for a state visit at the invitation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
