Gaza: Over 72 martyrs in Beit Lahiya massacres, 30% are children

GAZA – At least 72 Palestinians were martyred and dozens more wounded on Sunday in two new Zionist massacres in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, local media reported. The strike targeted a five-story building, which housed six displaced families.

According to the Gaza health ministry, almost 30 percent of the martyrs are children, while there are between 20 to 30 people under the rubble and cannot be reached.

Rescue teams are struggling to access the site due to the extensive destruction and incessant Zionist airstrikes in the area, making it difficult to provide an accurate count of the martyrs and injured at this time.

Earlier, Palestinian media reported that the Zionist occupation forces used drones and explosive barrels to destroy homes and entire residential neighbourhoods in the Jabalia refugee camp and across northern Gaza.

Since October 5, the Zionist occupation has launched a large-scale ground operation in northern Gaza, which Palestinian officials say is aimed at forcibly depopulating the area to create a buffer zone.

The Zionist occupation’s genocide in the Gaza Strip reached on Sunday its 408th day, with 43,799 martyrs and 103,601 injured, while thousands remain buried under rubble.
