Algerian FM Joins Africa-Russia Partnership Forum in Sochi

Appointed by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, arrived in Sochi, Russia, on Friday to attend the first ministerial conference of the Africa-Russia Partnership Forum, which is scheduled for November 9 and 10, 2024, as stated by the ministry.

This ministerial meeting aims to follow up on the implementation of decisions and recommendations arising from the 1st and 2nd summits of the Africa-Russia Partnership Forum. The ministry’s statement indicates that discussions will center around strategies and prospects for enhancing the Russia-Africa partnership across several key sectors important to both parties.

During this ministerial meeting, Ahmed Attaf is also expected to hold discussions with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, as well as with several of his African colleagues, the statement adds.
