Guterres Calls for Immediate Halt to Zionist Aggression in the West Bank

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed profound concern over the recent escalation of Zionist aggression in the West Bank, urging an immediate cessation of military hostilities by the occupying forces.
In a statement released on the official UN website yesterday, Guterres condemned the airstrikes carried out by the occupying army, which have led to casualties, including children, and inflicted significant damage on civilian infrastructure.
The UN Secretary-General urged the Zionist authorities to promptly halt these aggressive operations and comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law, emphasizing the need to protect civilians and ensure their safety.
The statement also highlighted the necessity for injured Palestinians to receive adequate healthcare and for relief workers to be granted access to all those requiring assistance.
In this context, Guterres expressed his deep concern regarding the provocative actions and statements made by a Zionist official regarding the construction of a synagogue at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, underscoring the importance of maintaining the current status quo of these sacred sites.
The Zionist occupying forces have launched extensive operations in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, resulting in numerous casualties and severe damage to infrastructure.
