UN: Gaza’s North Faces Imminent Humanitarian Catastrophe Due to Ongoing Zionist Blockade

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Thursday evening that since the start of the zionist genocidal operation in northern Gaza over a month ago, the Zionist army has prevented the entry of essential food and water, leaving the entire population at “imminent risk of death.”

UN spokesperson Stéphanie Tremblay informed journalists that “the only aid authorized” by the Zionist entity since the beginning of the operation, 35 days ago, was “medical equipment for evacuation missions, some of which was later destroyed by airstrikes.”

The ongoing airstrikes “prevent Palestinians from accessing vital resources like water,” Tremblay noted, emphasizing that “humanitarian workers cannot do their job safely. The lack of access and insecurity prevent them from reaching those in need.”

As United Nations and humanitarian leaders warned last week, the entire population of northern Gaza is facing an imminent risk of dying from disease, famine, and violence, according to the UN official.

Reports indicate that at least 17 Palestinians were martyred in zionist airstrikes since dawn on Friday, with 13 of them killed in northern Gaza, which has been under a genocidal operation since October 5.

The Zionist occupation forces have continued their aggression against Gaza through land, sea, and air operations since October 7, 2023, resulting in 43,469 martyrs, the majority of whom are women and children, and 102,561 wounded, with thousands still trapped under the rubble.
