The Algerian medical mission performs 250 surgeries in a hospital northern Gaza Strip

ORAN, July 28, 2024 – A team of 13 surgeons were sent to Gaza Strip as part of an initiative by the Oran office of the Algerian Muslims Association Ulemas.

The head of the medical delegation, Dr. Baradei Mebarek, indicated that the team performed 250 surgeries and hundreds of consultations in the Indonesian hospital north the Strip.

Mr. Baradei, also head of the Oran office of the Algerian Muslims Association Ulemas and a member of the International Relief Committee, told APS that 13 surgeons of various specialties from Oran and other wilayas joined the medical mission to Gaza, which started on July 1 and lasted 25 days.

Despite the difficult and risky conditions, Mr. Baradei considered the mission “a success”, confirming therefore the Algerian people unwavering support to the brotherly Palestinian people.

The same source added that the Algerian delegation decided to cover their own travel expanses out of sincere solidarity, noting that such a mission will not be the last, along with organising donation campaigns.
