Speech Therapy Helps Gaza’s Children Find Their Voice Again

Children in Gaza are enduring unimaginable trauma due to relentless Zionist airstrikes, resulting in various psychological and physical repercussions. Among the most common issues is the loss of speech, with many children suffering from stuttering, seizures, and even complete muteness. In the face of this crisis, Dina Hani, a dedicated speech therapist, has set up a healing space in a tent near Khan Yunis. Here, she works with children, guiding them through speech therapy sessions designed to help them recover their voices and sense of normalcy.
The results of her efforts have been extraordinary, with many children showing remarkable progress. Where there was silence, there is now speech, and the children who attend her sessions arrive with a sense of joy and eagerness to participate. Dina shared how the therapy works step by step, helping the children regain the ability to speak as they once did before the Zionist aggression. Despite the chaos around them, these children are finding their way back to communication and healing.
