Russia has returned 157 servicemen from Ukrainian captivity in exchange for 157 Ukrainian prisoners of war, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.
The ministry said that the United States provided humanitarian mediation during the exchange. In addition, three Russian civilians from the Kursk region, described as illegally detained by Kiev, were also released and are being repatriated.
The returned Russian servicemen are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving medical and psychological assistance before being transferred to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation.
