Putin and Tokayev to Discuss Strategic Cooperation During Kazakhstan Visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on November 27 as part of a two-day state visit to Kazakhstan. The discussions will focus on further strengthening the bilateral strategic partnership between the two nations.
The talks are set to cover a broad range of topics, including Kazakhstan’s role as chair of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and Russia’s leadership in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and BRICS. Following closed and expanded format discussions, the leaders are expected to sign a joint statement aimed at deepening cooperation across political, trade, economic, and cultural sectors.
Additionally, a series of agreements are anticipated, addressing key areas such as energy, transport, healthcare, and more. Among these, a protocol extending the 2010 bilateral intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation related to oil supplies to Kazakhstan is also expected to be signed.
