Military Plane Crash in Sudan: Final Toll Reaches 46 Fatalities

KHARTOUM, February 26, 2025 – The final toll from the military plane crash that occurred on Tuesday evening near Khartoum, Sudan, has reached 46 fatalities, as announced by the media office of the Khartoum State on Wednesday.
“After conducting a final count, we confirm that the number of deceased has risen to 46, with 10 individuals injured,” the office stated in a release.
The Sudanese army reported overnight that the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff.
The incident took place near the Wadi Seidna airbase, one of the largest military centers in Omdurman, located on the outskirts of Khartoum.
Witnesses reported that several buildings were damaged in the vicinity of the crash site.
Earlier reports had indicated 19 fatalities.
