LeBron James Makes History with 50,000 Career Points as Lakers Extend Winning Streak

LeBron James became the first player to reach 50,000 combined points in regular-season and playoff history, scoring 34 points in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 136-115 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
James hit the milestone early in the game with a three-pointer, adding to his legacy as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. With the win, the Lakers secured their seventh consecutive victory, their longest streak in four years.
James, now nearly 6,000 points ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s career total, called the achievement “pretty special.” The 40-year-old superstar also won Western Conference Player of the Month, making him the oldest player to do so.
Meanwhile, Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a 114-102 victory over the New York Knicks, and the Cleveland Cavaliers extended their winning streak to 11 games with a dominant 139-117 win over the Chicago Bulls.
