Lebanese President Condemns Ongoing Attacks by the Zionist Entity

Lebanese President Michel Aoun condemned the attacks carried out by the Zionist entity early Tuesday, which targeted several towns in southern Lebanon, reaching the city of Sidon. He stated that these attacks aim to undermine efforts to halt escalation.

President Aoun emphasized that the continuous attacks raise serious questions, particularly as they occurred on the eve of the “Mechanism” Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, which works to stop hostilities and explore practical measures to restore security and stability in southern Lebanon.

He reaffirmed that the ongoing attacks by the Zionist entity aim to sabotage local, regional, and international efforts to halt the aggression, despite Lebanon’s cooperation with these initiatives.

President Aoun called on the international community to intervene effectively to halt the Zionist entity’s repeated attacks and enable the Mechanism Committee to carry out its tasks.

The Mechanism Committee is tasked with monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and overseeing the withdrawal of Zionist forces to the southern border.

The Zionist entity’s air force carried out a series of raids on the outskirts of several towns in southern Lebanon, causing one injury so far, and significant damage to buildings and shops near the targeted sites.
