Kremlin Says Russia Analyzing Peace Proposals on Ukraine Sent via Envoy Dmitriev

Russia is analyzing proposals related to a peace plan on Ukraine that were delivered to President Vladimir Putin through special envoy Kirill Dmitriev, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday. He noted that Moscow will communicate its position to the United States once the review process is completed.
Speaking at a press briefing in Moscow, Peskov said the material conveyed by Dmitriev is currently under examination. “We are analyzing what Dmitriev passed on to Putin. We are examining this material, and depending on the decisions made by the head of state, we will continue our communication with the Americans,” he said, emphasizing that further contacts will depend on the outcome of the analysis.
Peskov also confirmed that President Putin has already sent a Christmas greeting message to his US counterpart Donald Trump, but added that a phone conversation between the two leaders is not planned at this stage. Talks on a potential Ukrainian settlement were held over the weekend in Miami, with the US delegation represented by special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law. According to available information, a 28-point plan to end the Ukraine war was initially proposed by Trump, with efforts ongoing to refine the document and make it acceptable to all parties involved.
