Iran’s IRGC Navy Seizes Two Smuggling Vessels Carrying Over One Million Liters of Fuel

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval forces seized two vessels in the Persian Gulf, state media reported on Thursday. The ships were carrying more than one million liters of smuggled fuel when intercepted by the IRGC, which detained 15 foreign crew members during the operation.

The captured vessels and crew have been handed over to judicial authorities for further legal action, as part of Iran’s ongoing efforts to combat maritime fuel smuggling in its territorial waters. The operation highlights Tehran’s security measures in the Gulf amid broader regional concerns.
