Imane Khelif’s Lawyer Defends Her Against Allegations, Asserts She is a Biological Woman
Saida Boubker, the lawyer representing Algerian boxing champion Imane Khelif, strongly defended her against recent allegations, emphasizing that Khelif is a biological woman. During a press conference, Boubker revealed that Khelif possesses conclusive scientific evidence proving her gender, regardless of the location of the legal proceedings.
Boubker assured the public that Khelif’s morale remains strong despite the ongoing campaigns against her, and she is fully focused on her preparations for the upcoming Los Angeles Games. The lawyer emphasized that Khelif is unfazed by the false rumors circulating about her, asserting that Imane is ready to put the matter to rest.
On the international front, Mark Adams, spokesperson for the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has already expressed strong support for Khelif, clarifying that her gender has never been in question. Adams reinforced the fact that Khelif was born female, registered as female, and has lived her life as a female. He further stated that the idea of a testosterone test as a solution to the controversy was baseless and should not be taken seriously.
