Harvard University Students Protest Against Zionist Actions in Gaza

On Tuesday, Harvard University in Massachusetts was the site of protests and sit-ins aimed at condemning the ongoing violent actions in the Gaza Strip, as well as the arrest of several students for expressing their anti-genocide views.
Demonstrators carried signs denouncing U.S. support for the Zionist entity and calling for an immediate end to aggression against the Palestinian enclave. They also criticized what they termed “the suppression of dissenting voices advocating for Palestinian rights” on campus and at other universities, including Columbia University, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
These protests are part of a broader wave of student demonstrations at various American universities demanding an end to the ongoing violence in Gaza. Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist occupation forces have conducted severe attacks in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 50,399 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, with an additional 114,583 reported injured, according to an official tally released on Tuesday.
A ceasefire agreement went into effect on January 19 after more than 15 months of conflict, which had led to an unprecedented humanitarian disaster. However, hostilities resumed on March 18, following a two-month pause.
