Eid al-Fitr: Algeria President Receives Greetings from His Iranian Counterpart

On Monday, Algeria President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a phone call from Massoud Pezechkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the call, Pezechkian conveyed his Eid al-Fitr wishes to both Tebboune and the Algerian people, according to a press release from the Presidency.

“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received today a phone call from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Massoud Pezechkian, who extended greetings to him and the Algerian people for Eid al-Fitr, expressing hopes for further progress and prosperity in Algeria,” the statement noted.

In response, “the President of the Republic sent his warmest wishes to his Iranian counterpart, wishing for continued progress and prosperity for the brotherly Iranian people,” the statement added.

On this occasion, “the two presidents discussed their bilateral relations and explored avenues to strengthen them, agreeing to meet soon either in Tehran or Algiers,” the statement concluded.
