Egypt Reaffirms Willingness to Continue Dialogue, Coordination, Joint Action with Algeria

The new ambassador of the Republic of Egypt, Abdellatif Ellayeh, reaffirmed his country’s willingness to continue dialogue, coordination, joint action with Algeria, so as to boost bilateral relations and raise them to the highest levels.

In a statement to the press, after delivering credentials to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Egyptian ambassador transmitted the fraternal greetings of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressing “the profound esteem that Egypt holds for Algeria’s eminent role, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, in international and regional issues.” In this respect, Ellayeh stressed “the importance of continuing dialogue, coordination and joint action in order to strengthen the bonds uniting the two countries and to elevate them to a level worthy of the place of the two countries.” He added that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, had tasked him with conveying in turn “his warmest greetings and his most sincere wishes to his brother President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi,” highlighting “the depth of personal relations between the two leaders as well as the solidity and sincerity of the fraternal bonds uniting Algeria and Egypt.” In this regard, the new Egyptian ambassador underlined that the President of the Republic expressed “Algeria’s gratitude for Egypt’s efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the Middle East, as well as for defending just Arab causes,” while emphasizing on the need to “maintain coordination and consultation between the two brotherly countries in order to develop a common vision of Arab and African interests.”
