Biography of Algeria’s Presidential Election Candidate Abdelali Hassani Cherif

Abdelali Hassani Cherif is a prominent figure in the Algerian political landscape and the presidential candidate for the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) in the upcoming elections. Hassani was born in November 1966. He holds a State Engineer degree in Civil Engineering, obtained in 1992, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative and Legal Sciences, which he earned in 2004.
Hassani began his professional career in the public works sector in M’Sila, Algeria, where he served as a State Engineer from 1992 to 1994. He then transitioned to the political arena, where he was elected Vice President of the Provincial People’s Assembly (APW) of M’Sila from 2002 to 2007. Subsequently, he was elected as a member of the Algerian National People’s Assembly from 2007 to 2012, during which he served as the Vice President of the Assembly.
Abdelali Hassani’s contributions were not limited to the legislative field; he also played a significant role within the Movement of Society for Peace. He served as President of the Provincial People’s Assembly for the MSP in M’Sila during the organizational period from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, he was a member of the national executive committee of the movement, responsible for organization and digitalization from 2013 to 2023.
On March 8, 2023, Abdelali Hassani Cherif was elected President of the Movement of Society for Peace.
