Amnesty International Condemns Power Cut to Gaza by the Zionist Entity

Amnesty International has condemned the Zionist entity’s decision to cut electricity to Gaza, calling it a violation of international humanitarian law and an act of genocide. The organization criticized the move, which followed the Zionist entity’s suspension of all humanitarian aid and commercial supplies to the region, including fuel and food.
Erika Guevara-Rosas, Amnesty’s Director of Research, Advocacy, and Policy, emphasized that this action further exacerbates the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, already plagued by destroyed infrastructure and a water and sanitation disaster due to prolonged attacks by the Zionist entity.
The power cut, which affects Gaza’s main desalination plant, is seen as part of the Zionist entity’s broader strategy to exert control over essential services, with the potential to shut down other water facilities.
Amnesty urged the Zionist entity to restore electricity to Gaza immediately, comply with international humanitarian law, and allow unrestricted access to basic goods and services for civilians.
